Albert J. Sacchetti, Jr. of Mantua, NJ passed away on Friday, August 27 at 68 years of age. He is survived by his children Anthony (Kelly), AnnaMarie (Gregory) DiNisio, and Patrick (Lauren). He is also survived by his grandchildren Luciana, Gavin, Alessio, and Milo, his sister Margaret Pistilli, brother John, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Albert J. Sr., mother Elizabeth Ann (Oxley), sister Mary Verrecchio, and brother James.

Al was raised in the Fairview section of Camden, NJ. He attended St. Joan of Arc grammar school and St. Joseph's high school in Camden. He attended Glassboro State College. He enlisted in the New Jersey State Police in 1974 as a Trooper and retired in 2001 as a Captain. After retirement, Al worked providing executive protection. He spent his remaining years babysitting, driving, and coaching his grandchildren.

At Al's request, there will be no services. He asked that his family and friends remember the laughs they shared and he hoped that they may get to enjoy a beer together in the afterlife.

In lieu of flowers or donations, his family suggests that those inclined to do so, seek to be a hero for someone, because he was a hero to them.
