IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony A.
Orapallo
May 29, 1950 – March 19, 2020
On March 19, 2020. Age 69. Of Sewell. Formerly of Philadelphia. Loving and devoted husband of 32 years to Patti Jo Orapallo (nee Westerson). Loving father of Andy Orapallo, Alyssa Lynn Orapallo, Angelo Orapallo, Kristian Orapallo, Anna Maria Bonner, Anthony Orapallo and the late David Orapallo. Cherished grandfather of David, Lilie, Giovanni, Mia, Anthony, Ian and Mercadies. Beloved brother of Angelina "Butchie" Ficarra, John, Nicholas "Nicky", Rose, Pasquale "Pat", Sabatino "Sal", Carmen, Maryann, Joseph "Bear", Predeceased by his parents, Anthony Orapallo, Sr. and Theresa (nee Bunodono) and brother, Michael.
Anthony was the owner and operator of Gloucester Liquors in Gloucester City since 1989. Anthony loved making his customers laugh and feel welcome more than anything. He was always the funniest guy in the room. He had a way of making every single person who entered his life feel like family.
His children and his wife, Patti Jo meant the whole world to him. He is surely honored to hand over the reins of Gloucester City Liquors to his youngest son, Andy, who has his tough spirit through and through. He looked like a grizzly, but was really a teddy bear at heart. His allergies always seemed to act up when his daughter, Alyssa, sang. Angelo loved going to the toy store as a kid and not being able to choose between two toys-and Anthony would always say "well then you should get both". Kristian took after Pop in his ability to make everyone laugh and loved smoking cigars on the porch with his dad and littlest brother. Anna shared his love of microwaving food to scalding and was also one of the only family members in full support of his long beard-she wouldn't even go near him as a child if he'd shaved. Anthony loves to remember trips with his Dad to pick out a movie at the video store and will surely never forget that he made a damn good fried egg-and let it be known that anyone else's way was wrong.
Anthony's most favorite days were when the house was full of all of his kids, their spouses and grandkids. He taught all of the little ones Italian curse words and knew how to start an epic NERF battle-with in depth strategies and all.
His wife, Patti, and Anthony never seemed to stop laughing, no matter how hard life got-and he surely was the only one who could make her laugh when she was mad (even at him). They were the true definition of soul mates.
Anthony brought joy, laughter and strength everywhere he went and into every life he touched. His family urges all who knew him to carry his spirit with you.
