Obituary

On May 13, 2024. Age 65. Of Monroeville. Formerly of Gloucester City. Beloved son of the late Fred and Dorothy Hammel (nee Burke). Loving brother of Gene Hammel and his wife, Eleanor and the late Steve Hammel. Beloved uncle of Monica Hammel, Keith Hammel and Dean Hammel (Erica) and great uncle of Freddy, Cody, Dakota, Dean, Lexi, Jordan and Damon.

Barry was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1977. He enjoyed volunteering as a companion, calling and speaking to other seniors, making sure that they were OK and taking their medication's every day. This gave Barry great satisfaction to be able to help other people.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday morning, May 18th from 10 to 11:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral service 11:30 AM in the in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
