On September 20, 2015. Age 69. Of Siler City, North Carolina. Formerly of Marlton and Gloucester City. Born and raised in Gloucester City, he was the son of the late John C. and Margaret A. (nee Conroy) Collins. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon L. (nee Pirolli); daughters, Christina Kahle (Tim), Jackie Welter (Craig), Michelle Zuercher Collins, Jennifer Cassanelli (Julio) Mary Caldwell (Brian); son, Jeremy Hause; 14 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; brother, Jack Collins, sister, Eileen M. Collins. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph B. Collins, Sr. and his sister, Donna M. Miles. Bernie retired after 32 years working as a School Teacher in the Pennsauken Middle and High Schools. He was a track and wrestling coach for Pennsauken High School. He honorable served our country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, September 24th at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Gloucester City. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm and again on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at McCann - Healey Funeral Home: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment will be private.
