On May 29, 2015. Age 69. Of Sicklerville. Formerly of Folsom, PA. Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Graham S. and Elinore (Williams) Headley. A graduate of Ridley Senior High School Class of 1963, Carol worked for many years as an architectural secretary with Harbison Hough Livingston and Larson (H2L2) and Ewing Cole and later worked as Membership Coordinator for American Institute of Architects in Philadelphia, PA. She is a charter member of the Glassboro Ladies Auxiliary. Carol had a beautiful, clear soprano singing voice and was active in the church choir of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chester, PA in her youth. She was also a member of the chorus during her junior and senior high school years. Carol was a volunteer "candy striper" at Crozier Hospital while in high school and at that time hoped to become a registered nurse. She was an avid trivia collector and watched Jeopardy daily, often correctly answering all questions. Carol enjoyed gardening, classic films, reading mystery novels by her favorite authors and cooking for friends. Professionally, Carol was an exceptionally skilled architectural secretary who won first place twice in the annual competition to determine the fastest typist in Philadelphia. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert L. Jones; sister, Linda D. Headley and several cousins including Barbara Hibbs Hughes. Baptist Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Richard Gehret on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 am at the McCann Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City.
