Colleen M. Hogan, 59, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 8, 1965 to Robert "Bob" Hogan and Elizabeth Tanski, and lived her life in Haddon Heights, NJ as a devoted mother, daughter, sister, partner, and friend.
Colleen graduated from Cabrini College in Radnor, PA in 1987. She then joined her family's business, PB Cosmetology Education Center in Gloucester City, NJ, founded by her beloved grandmother, Peg Hogan, and led by her father Bob. During Colleen's tenure, she mentored countless students and staff for nearly 40 years. She later expanded her cosmetology expertise to open Blade and Brush Barber Shop in Haddon Heights in partnership with her brother Rick, which has served as a vibrant place in the community she grew up a part of.
Preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth, she is survived by her children Patrick (Daria) and Elise Connelly; her father Bob (Carol); her siblings Robert "Rob" (Kathy) Hogan, Kathleen "Kathy" (Bill) Juliano, and Richard "Rick" (Rowena) Hogan; stepfather Edward Tanski; stepbrother Cornelius "Corey" (Elena) Cassidy; loving partner Wilson "Alan" Brickner and his children Wilson and Ciara; grandson Augustus Connelly as well as 11 nieces and nephews.
She will forever be remembered for her generous heart and fiery spirit that served to strengthen those around her. She held a great ability to care for others and has touched many lives over the course of her own.
Relatives, friends, current and former staff and students of PB Cosmetology are invited to Colleen's visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at St. Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30 pm in the church.
Private Committal Prayers and Inurnment remembering Colleen will be held in the presence of close family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to Gift of Life Donor Program: 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. Please make check payable to Transplant Foundation.
