Daniel "Danny" Ulbin, age 71, of Williamstown, New Jersey, formerly of Gloucester City, passed away on September 12, 2026. Born on February 14, 1955, in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of the late William Ulbin and Elizabeth Ulbin.
Dan was a 1973 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School, where he was a member of the 1972 state championship basketball team.
Dan is also a proud member of UA Local 322 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 49 years. Outside of his work, Dan was an avid fisherman who found great peace and relaxation being out on the water on his boat. Over the years, he enjoyed spending his summers in Cape May and Wildwood with his many friends and family, fishing and spending time around the marina. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He treasured spending time with his granddaughters, staying deeply involved in their lives and sports activities. He was also proud to host his annual Christmas seafood fest with his family every year.
Dan is survived by his beloved sons Matthew (Jayme) and Stephen (Noelle), and granddaughters Natalia, Aleyah, Haley, and Sarah.
He is also survived by his sister, Ruthann Ulbin, and niece and goddaughter, Danielle Rachubinski. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Ulbin.
Family and friends are invited to Dan's visitation on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm at McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. A short service will follow at 12:15 pm at the funeral home.
Inurnment will follow the service at New St. Mary's Cemetery and Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Jersey Coast Anglers Association, which works to protect recreational fishing for anglers like Danny, www.jcaa.org.
