On November 22, 2024, Delois went home to be with the Lord at the age 88. Born in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late, Horace and Mary (Chestnut) Johnson. She lived in Willingboro, NJ.  She is survived by her beloved children, Sheila Barlow (Lou Barlow), Sonja Ellis (late Mark Ellis), Rita Davis, Rietta Davis-Patterson; cherished granddaughter, Nicole Patterson; brother, Oscar Johnson; sister, Angelene Spencer and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, James Davis in March of 1977.

Delois worked as a tele-type operator with RCA in Camden, NJ and later became a licensed cosmetologist. She enjoyed detail painting on felt, playing cards, sewing, crocheting, cooking for her family, going to Atlantic City and her many trips to visit with family.

Graveside services will be celebrated for Delois at 11:30 am, on Friday, December 6, 2024, in Beverly National Cemetery, 916 Bridgeboro Road, Beverly, NJ.
