Dominga was truly one of a kind. She was spicy, independent, strong-willed, and full of personality. She knew exactly who she was and was never afraid to show it. Her bold spirit and unique sense of humor brought laughter and joy to those around her.

Dominga had a way of making an impression, and once you met her, you certainly would not forget her. She loved the colors red and black, colors that perfectly reflected her bold and vibrant personality. Dominga also had a special love for Halloween. She enjoyed everything about the season—the fun, the excitement, and the mystery. In true Dominga fashion, she even dreamed of one day marrying Dracula and visiting Transylvania. It was one of the many things that made her so wonderfully unique and brought smiles to the faces of everyone who heard her talk about it.

Behind her fiery personality was a heart filled with thoughtfulness and generosity. Dominga was always thinking of others. She would often offer something to her staff other housemates, wanting to share what she had and make those around her feel included and appreciated. Even in the smallest gestures, Dominga showed that she cared.

Dominga found great joy in coloring, arts, and crafts. These activities gave her an opportunity to express her creativity and enjoy the simple things that made her happy. She approached the things she loved with her own special personality and enthusiasm. One of the most meaningful relationships in Dominga’s life was the special bond she shared with Kelle, whom she loved so deeply that she lovingly called her “Mom.” Their relationship was filled with love, comfort, and connection—a beautiful example of the family we create through the people who love and care for us.

Dominga also shared a special connection with the staff members she lovingly referred to as her “good girlfriends.” Patricia, Nysha, Miracle, Tara, Correna, Leona and Jocelyn held a special place in her heart. They shared in her daily life, her laughter, her personality, and the many moments that made Dominga who she was. Their relationships with her went beyond ordinary routines; they were built on genuine affection, trust, and countless memories that will forever be treasured. For nearly 3 years, Dominga attended The Arc of Burlington, where she became a familiar and cherished presence. During her time there, she formed meaningful connections and created memories with those around her. She shared a particular connection with Jaimee, a bond that brought comfort, familiarity and joy. Their relationship was another reflection of Dominga's ability to form genuine connections with the people who became important in her life.

Dominga made her home at 35 Hanover Road in Marlton, New Jersey, where she created lasting memories with her housemates and the staff who cared for and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, creativity, generosity, and a personality that can never be replaced.

As we say goodbye, we remember Dominga for all the things that made her special: her spicy attitude, her fierce independence, her excitement for Halloween, her dream of marrying Dracula, her love for her “Mom,” Kelle, and her beloved “good girlfriends.” We remember the thoughtful woman who always wanted to give something to someone else and the unforgettable personality that could brighten a room simply by being herself.

Dominga lived life her way, and she leaves behind memories that will continue to make us laugh, smile, and sometimes shake our heads and say, “That was just Dominga.” Though she may no longer be physically with us, her spirit will remain in the hearts of everyone who loved her. Her laughter, her boldness, her kindness, and her unmistakable personality will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Dominga. May you be surrounded by love, laughter, beautiful colors of red and black, and perhaps—finally—your long-awaited dance with Dracula. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
