IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dominick R.
Helms
August 1, 2000 – March 31, 2018
On March 31, 2018, Dominick Raymond Helms, age 17, tragically lost his life in an accident involving a motor vehicle. Dom was an outgoing, friendly very funny kid who loved everyone he met. More importantly, anyone who ever met Dom loved him. He was a hard worker who was always eager to learn new skills at his job and loved working on cars learning mechanics from his Dad who was his best friend. He had become quite the young master of trades learning home remodeling skills. He was looking forward to graduating in June from West Deptford High School and joining the Air Force in August when he turned 18. Not only is his loss monumental for his family, friends, classmates and co-workers, but the United States Air Force would have surely been proud to have him in their ranks.
Dom will forever be loved and remembered by his parents, Mike Helms, Sr. and Christine Helms, his brothers, Mike, Jr., Patrick and Zachary Helms. He also leaves his heartbroken grandparents Christine Brennan (late Pastor Gary) of Deptford and Nick and Nancy Salvitti of West Deptford. Also, grandparents Ira and Rhonda Helms of Fairfield, Illinois. A host of aunts and uncles including Bryan (Laura) Brennan, Steve (Kristy), Tom, Mike and Anthony Salvitti; Barbara Emmons, Renee Carbin and Raymond (Terry) Berry; His very special Uncle and Partner in Crime Uncle Herms (Jennie) Helms; his Aunts Mandy (Mike) and Melissa (Ben). Many cousins and friends including The Team (Dan, Matt, Bryce, Tom, Joey, Rod and Kyle) and many, many others.
Relatives, friends and classmates are invited to his viewing on Saturday, April 7th from 10 AM to 1 PM at Colonial Manor United Methodist Church, 56 Elberne Avenue, West Deptford. Memorial service will be held at 1 PM in the church. Interment private.
