March 10, 1932 – October 6, 2020
Surrounded by her family, on October 6, 2020, Doris passed peacefully at her home in Brooklawn at age 88. (nee Sprague). Beloved mother, grandmother (Mammom), Aunt, and friend. She was a resident of the Brooklawn community for 70 years. She ran a sweet shop on Broadway with her late husband, Joseph Cerrone, then together took ownership of a town fixture, Westbrook Bowling Lanes. Doris was an avid golfer, bowler, and shopper. She was never afraid to be the first one on the dance floor. She had the kindest heart and would do anything for her loved ones, friends, and anyone in need.
Anyone who knew her, knew family meant the world to her. For the past 70 years, Doris hosted the family's Thanksgiving at her home in Brooklawn. As the family grew, the tradition continued on at Westbrook Lanes. She is survived by her two daughters Daria (Jim) Giles and Joanne (Mike) Franco. Also, her 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
At the family's request, Interment will be private at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
