Obituary

Gloucester City – On October 7, 2018, (née Virden) age 85, formerly of Paulsboro, NJ.

Loving wife of the late Carl Hommer and Maurice Brinn.  Devoted mother to William Brinn and the late Maurice, Michael and Doris Brinn. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.   Adorned daughter of the late Grover and Catherine Virden. Dear sister to Thomas and Milton Virden and the late Ralph, Grover, William, Robert, Frances and Catherine Glover and Helen Cheeseman.  Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was a strong willed woman. Life wasn't always easy for her but she did the best she could with what she had.  She enjoyed life very much and can be remembered  by her humor, and her devotion to her children, grandchildren, her family members and close friends. She stood by them all, thru all times, happy, sad, or otherwise. She was the voice of reason, story teller, advice giver and could be that partner in crime. She loves to travel to Florida, the seashore, campgrounds, and trying her luck at the casinos, as she loved life very much. Lastly, she would never allow you to leave her home hungry as she loved to cook.

Viewing Friday October 12th from 9:30 to 10:45 am at St Mary's Church, 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Church.  Interment at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ
