Surrounded by her loving family, Dot passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024, at age 80. (nee Jones) Of Gloucester City. Loving wife and best friend of 37 years to the late A. Lane Eastwick. Loving mother of Tracy McDonnell (Barb) and the late Joseph M. Hamaker. Cherished grandmother of Jamie (Chuck), Joey (Erynn) and Ronnie and great-grandmother of Chucky IV, Jaden and Jaxson. Beloved sister of Barbara Smith (late George), Earl Jones (Alicia), the late Sandy Saler (late Warren) and the late David Jones.
Dot was born in Camden, NJ on February 11, 1943 to the late Earl F. and Dorothy Mae Jones. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1961, where she excelled playing field hockey for the Lions. Over the years, Dot tended bar at many establishments throughout the city. She was the captain of the Gloucester City Women's Pool League and a member of the VFW "Fillies" softball team. Dot was a longtime, active member of the Highland Park Church of God. She enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles and decorating for every holiday. She cherished her Sunday drives on the back of the bike with Lane. Most of all, she loved her family, took great care of them and was a child of God.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, January 22nd, from 9 AM to 11:45 AM at the Highland Park Church of God, 111 Baynes Ave, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12 Noon in the church. Interment will follow in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
