On June 11, 2017. Age 70. Of Gloucester City. Loving and devoted husband of Teresa Severance (nee Cooney). Cherished father of Tracy N. (Boody) Hartman (Anthony) , Tracy M. McKenney (Michael) and the late Raymond Cowgill. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Margaret Severance (nee Nace). Devoted brother of Louis Severance (Kate), Matthew Severance (Alex Ann), Richard Severance (Pam) and the late Randy Severance. Beloved grandfather of James, Anthony, Angela Rae, Michael and Mikayla.
Edward was born in Camden and was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Edward worked as a machinist and millwright for the U.S. Navy Yard in Philadelphia, PA. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren. Edward was a member of the Townsend C. Young V.F.W Post # 3620 in Gloucester City.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Friday from 11 am to 1 pm at the McCann-Healey Funeral Home: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Catholic Service 1 pm in the funeral home. Interment with U.S. Navy Military Funeral Honors in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
