Passed away at his home on September 15, 2016 in Reading, PA. He was born April 8, 1953 to Joseph and Marie Patricia (McCann) Kowalski in Woodbury, NJ. On May 23, 1986 he married Russella Christy in Deptford, NJ. Eric loved the land and living in the country, growing vegetables in his garden, raising chickens, hunting, fishing and playing guitar and harmonica. Eric especially enjoyed telling many hilarious stories of his life experiences.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 30 years, Russella; his beloved son, Eric J. Kowalski, Jr. of Reading; his 2 cherished daughters, Christy Kowalski of Reading, and Holly Kowalski of Ephrata; 3 dear sisters, Jane Dooling (Michael) of Audubon, NJ, Betsy Logan (John) of Leonardo, NJ and Joann Leeds (Bill) of Gloucester City, NJ; a beloved brother, John Kowalski, Sr. (Lynn) of Sewell, NJ; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and father-in-law John S. Christy, Sr.

A memorial to celebrate Eric's life will be arranged for a future date. Private burial and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
