On May 19, 2016. Age 95. Of Brooklawn. Loving husband of the late Ruth Cipolone (nee Alcorn). Loving father of Jean Minder, Mark Cipolone (Penny), Neil Cipolone (Karen), Carl Cipolone and Alan Cipolone (Cathy). Cherished grandfather of Christian Minder (Andrea), Julie Maher (Ben), Stephen, Andrew, Peter and Clare. Cherished great grandfather of David, Eliza and Charlie Maher. Dear brother of Albert Cipolone (Dolores). Predeceased by his siblings, Dominick, Alfred, Paul, Josephine and Katherine.

Ernie was a lifelong resident of Brooklawn. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1939. He received his Bachelor's Degree and Masters from Rowan University. Ernie proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He went on to teach at Glassboro High School and served as Vice Principal at Camden County Vocational School in Gloucester Township. In his retirement, his activities included, traveling, ballroom and country dancing, and volunteer work. Ernie was one of the founding members of St. Maurice Church in Brooklawn where he was a faithful parishioner and CCD teacher.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Tuesday morning, May 24th, from 9:30 to 11 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM in the church. Interment with Military Honors in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
