Passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016 at her home. Age 85.  Born and raised in Gloucester City she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Byrne) Harvey. Beloved wife of 55 years to Joseph "Ron" Canning, loving mother of Ronnie, Jr. and Pamela J. Gettings, brother of Bill Harvey, Joan Stone, Jean Borman and Robert Harvey, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Marie Quinn.

Fran attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Gloucester Catholic High School. She worked at St. Mary's Rectory in her younger years, and was later employed by Dr. Charles Brennan for 34 years before retiring in 1995. Fran was a very giving person to everyone whether they were sick or healthy. She had a very good sense of humor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29th at 11:00 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, where family and friends may visit from 9:15 to 10:45 am. Interment will be in New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
