July 30, 1941 – June 21, 2021
On June 21, 2021, at the age of 79. In the loving care of his wife, sons and family. Of the Glen Oaks Section of Gloucester Township. Loving husband of 58 years to Lois A. Schuhl (nee Presutti). Beloved son of the late Edmund J. Schuhl and Wilma Schuhl (nee Grant). Beloved father of Scott (Mary Jo) Schuhl, Robert M. (Lisa) Schuhl and the late Mark L. Schuhl. Devoted Poppie of Mark, David, Jack and Matteo. Survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his brother, Alexander Schuhl.
Grant was born in Norwood, PA and graduated from Interboro High School in 1959. He attended and graduated from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting. Grant continued his education and graduated from Philadelphia Textile University with a MBA and Masters in Taxation. He began teaching as an adjunct accounting professor at Rowan University (Glassboro State University) and Gloucester County Community College. Grant worked as an accountant for the Mental Health Association of Southwestern New Jersey in Haddon Heights and retired in 2017.
Grant was one of the "Founding Fathers of Glen Oaks Little League and basketball. He coached soccer for many years for TBAA. Grant was affectionately known as "Coach" for his love of teaching the youth about sports. He was an avid golfer. Grant was a 48 year resident of the Glen Oaks Section of Gloucester Township. He was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Parish: St. Agnes R.C. Church in Blackwood.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Grant's visitation on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 9 am to 10:45 at Our Lady of Hope Parish: St. Agnes R.C. Church: 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am in the church. Interment will be private at a later date.
