Obituary

On November 11, 2015. Age 71. Of Gloucester City Peacefully, in his home surrounded, cared by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Elizabeth (nee Pippett). Devoted father of Harlan C. "Buddy" Blackiston, Jr. (Deborah), Michael Blackiston (Holly), Kristeen (Kenney) Piduch and Kimberly (Marco) Anthony. Cherished grandfather of Marco Jr., Brandon, Ryan, Michael, Taylor and Joshua. Beloved brother of Patricia Freeman and Marla Welch. Harlan was known to all as "Bud" and was a lifetime resident of Gloucester City. He graduated from Gloucester City High School and was a pipefitter for 30 years with Local Union # 322 Plumbers and Pipefitters in Winslow. Relatives, friends and fellow Union members are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, November 14 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Presbyterian Service 4 pm officiated by Pastor Kathryn Morgan in the funeral home. Cremation private. Family requests memorial donations in Holy Redeemer Hospice: 150 East Ninth Avenue, Runnemede, NJ 08078 or St. Jude's Hospital for Children: c/o McCann-Healey Funeral Home will be providing envelopes.
