Voorhees- Harry passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023 at the age of 87. He was a long-time resident of Magnolia. Loving son of the late George H Sturgis, Sr. and Marie Anna Sturgis (nee McCully). Cherished brother of the late George H Sturgis, Jr. and Anna Marie Sturgis. Dear father of Harry Sturgis (Kathy), Mary Anne Whylings, Catherine Black (Don), Kenny Sturgis (Carole) and the late Eric Sturgis. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Harry leaves behind his loving girlfriend of 23 years Lorraine Smith and his beloved dachshund "Butchy".

Harry graduated from Gloucester High School Class of 1955. Harry proudly served our country in the U.S. Army National Guard during the Korean War. He went on to work for Texaco/Coastal Oil Refinery for 34 years and retired in 1998 as a head operator. Harry loved going to dances with Lorraine and his friends at the Bellmawr Ballroom, the Pennsauken Country Club and the Polish Club in Phila. He also enjoyed watching Philly sports, especially the Eagles and Phillies.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately at the request of the family at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Interment will follow at the New Saint Mary's Cemetery.
