Obituary

On June 21, 2025, at his home in Camden, NJ, James passed peacefully surrounded by his family, at the age of 80. Born in Camden he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Naomi M. (Hampton) Green. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Doris Eva (Agren) Green; loving sons, Samuel Harker III (Barbara), Thomas Harker (Christina), William Green; daughter, Doris Albanese (the late Dave). James is also survived by many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also predeceased by his brother, William Green.

James retired in 2010, after 38 years working as a greenskeeper with Pine Valley Golf Club. James was a member of the John 3:16 Assembly of God Church in Sewell, NJ since 2002. He loved spending time with his family, going fishing and he enjoyed painting, wood craving and making jewelry.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, June 30th from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, where his funeral services will be celebrated at 12 PM. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.
