Webb
March 12, 1939 – July 7, 2024
Of Lumberton and formerly of Burlington and Philadelphia, PA. Went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 7th, at age 85. Born James Leon Webb on March 12 of 1939. Jim was a man of God, Country and people. Entering the Army in the early 60's and Vietnam in 1966, he was a sergeant in the 272nd Military Police Company over the 3rd Platoon. Retiring from the Military at the rank of E-7 Sgt. First Class, he returned to civilian life and became a police officer in Burlington, NJ. Jim worked as a letter carrier for US Postal Service. James was a boxer in the Philly area where he trained, fought and promoted boxing before becoming a boxing manager. He became so good at it he was security for Mohammad Ali at one time.
He was also a published author of "Common Foe & Racial Divide of America" The other was published in VA books that was given out by the VA for returning Veterans "Veteran to Veteran: Words of Wisdom for Returning War Veterans and Their Families".
Later in life he founded "Winning Traditions" that promoted positivity, well being and enlightenment. Jim had declining health and moved to an assisted living facility but all the phone calls and visits from friends kept him from ever being alone. Preceded in death by his mother Ruth Harrison, Jim is survived by his son Glen Webb, daughter Gail Webb, the amazing care team at Mount Holly Rehab. and Care Center along with so many faithful and loving friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend James' Christian Service and Full U.S. Army Military Funeral Honors on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery: 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
