IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joann
Mottram
May 20, 1950 – May 19, 2025
JoAnn Mottram (nee Zedalis), aged 74 and 364 days, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on May 19th, 2025. The daughter of the late John and Edna Zedalis, JoAnn grew up in Gibbstown, NJ. As a hairdresser in her early twenties, she had a chance appointment with a young college student who was home on summer vacation. This led to a 50-year marriage to Gloucester-native George Mottram.
A longtime resident of Gloucester City, JoAnn worked in the tax office at the Municipal building. She was filled with love and always made anyone who met her feel special even when simply talking on the phone. JoAnn was also an inspiration to many. After surviving a life-threatening brain aneurysm in 1992, she proved just how resilient she was by re-learning to walk and talk again, and in short time, she returned to her witty self. She was quick to crack a joke and could somehow always make you smile. She lived an adventure and was loved deeply.
JoAnn is pre-deceased by her husband George Mottram, grandson Joseph Rodgers, and brother Robert Zedalis. She is survived by her daughters Jaime (Mike) Guldin, and Jodi Palumbo (Al), granddaughter Kyla (August) Milewski, grandsons Michael Guldin, David (Britney) Harding, and Paul Palumbo, great grandchildren Jaxson and Charlotte, sisters Carol (Dave), Elaine, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, May 31st from 10 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral Service 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, give your parents and loved ones a hug. Squeeze them tightly and tell them how much you love them… and if you can't, give them a call or say a prayer for them.
