On August 2, 2017, at the age of 79. Of Gloucester City. Loving husband of 43 years to Gail Franklin (nee Calhoun). Loving father of John P. Franklin, Jr. and Karen Franklin. Cherished grandpop of John P. III, Mikayla Renzi, Gavin Franklin, Gabrielle Franklin, Katelyn Kiefrieder, Nickolis Starrett and Alexa DelaOssa and great-grandpop of Athena Johnson.

John proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1974. He worked as a maintenance man at the Gloucester City Post Office for 23 years. He was a proud member of the Townsend C. Young VFW Post 3620 in Gloucester City where he served as the past commander.

Memorial services will be planned at a later date.
