On June 18, 2016. Age 57. Of Newfield. Formerly of Gloucester City. Loving husband of 28 years to the late Patricia McCaffery. Loving father of John J. McCaffery III, Patrick R. McCaffery, Erin E. Elder (Ryan M.) and Shane M. McCaffery. Cherished grandfather of Landon and Maddox. Loving son of Norva Malone and the late John J. McCaffery (surv. Connie). Dear brother of Melody Malone and Thomas McCaffery (Charlene). Loving uncle of Tabatha and Damien Stephens.

John was a graduate of Pitman High School class of 1977. He retired as a union electrician from IBEW Local 98 in Philadelphia. John was a longtime member of the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday morning, June 25, 2016 from 9 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, Gloucester City. Interment will be private in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
