Riverton – Formerly of Haddon Heights and Rio Grande. Age 81. Suddenly and Peacefully, On May 27, 2023. In the devoted and loving care of Quality Management Associates. Cherished son of the late Charles Wesley Shute and Elizabeth Almeda Shute (nee VanSant). Loving brother of Ruth (late Robert, Sr.) Archer of Winter Haven, Florida. Predeceased by his brother, Jim Shute. Dear brother-in-law of Connie Shute of Cape May Court House. Beloved uncle of John Shute, Jimmy Shute, Tommy Shute, Janine Kreh, Paul Kreh and Denise Kessler. Survived by many great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
John was born in Camden and raised in Haddon Heights from 1950 until 1960. John resided with ARC of Cape May County for many years. He was given such exceptional, compassionate care. Since 2017, John has been in the loving and gentle care of Quality Management Associates. He was friendly to all his housemates and caregivers.
John loved to read books especially encyclopedias. His true passion was learning as much as he could about the history of the American Indians. John loved to watch The Three Stooges as a child all the way to the day he passed away!
Relatives, friends and Quality Management Associates are invited to John's viewing on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 9 am to 11 am at McCann-Healey Funeral Home: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Celebration of John's Life 11 am in the funeral home. Methodist Graveside Service and Interment with his late parents in Friends Central Cemetery, Linwood at 1 pm.
