Obituary

Mount Ephraim – On December 11, 2021. Age 51. (nee: Rojo). Born and raised in the Fairview section of Camden, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Joan (Downs) Rojo. Loving wife of 31 years to Steven Sayres. Loving mother of sons, Steven Sayres, Jr. (Alina Jackson), Colin Sayres, Andrew Sayres and daughter, Peyton Sayres. Cherished grand mom of Quinton and Malcolm Sayres. Beloved sister of John (Niki), Carol (John), Lana (Paul); Godmother of Christin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joni was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Costello.

Joni worked for many years as a cook in the cafeteria at Mary Bray Elementary School in Mt. Ephraim. She loved her job there and referring to all the students as her kids.

Joni enjoyed the simple things in life. Her family meant more to her than anything. She also enjoyed her beach days with her sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings on Friday, December 17 th from 10 to 12 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Funeral service 12 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
