Suddenly, On March 30, 2020. Age 61. Of Westmont section of Haddon Township. In the loving care of his wife of 26 years, Jennifer DeStefano (nee Conn). Cherished father of Jennifer Mary, Stephanie (Jordan), Michele, Ashley (Sean), Helena, Domenic and Joseph. Beloved Son of Joseph DeStefano and Lillian DeStefano (nee D'Amico). Loving Brother of Debra, John and Sandra. Lo ving Son-In-Law of Theresa D'Amico (Philip) and the late Stephen Conn. Loving grandfather of Helayna, Georgah, Patrick, Marshall, Chase and Connor. Survived by his beloved granddog, Charlie.
Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a resident of Westmont since 1999. He worked as a shift manager for 37 years at PECO / Exelon in Philadelphia, PA. Joseph was a devout Catholic who practiced his faith. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Holy Saviour Church and Christ The King Church in Haddonfield. Joseph highest priority was to provide for his family. He liked music and Jeopardy.
Due to Governor Murphy's executive order, Joseph's viewing will be private for his immediate family. Mass of Christian Burial will be private at Christ The King R.C. Church in Haddonfield. Interment private at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing. There will be a visitation and Memorial Mass after the executive order is lifted and this will be announced.
Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joseph's memory to My Brother Rocks the Spectrum: c/o McCann-Healey Funeral Home: P.O. Box 1071, Bellmawr, NJ 08099 – 1071. Please write in memo: Joseph Peter DeStefano. These donations will be for local scholarships for classes, play passes, therapies, etc., for children in need.
