On August 22, 2017. Age 61. Of Oaklyn. Formerly of Gloucester City. Father of Joseph Nelson; beloved son of Anne Collins (nee Nelson); brother of Paul (Kathy) and Adrienne Stanaitis (James). Predeceased by his sister, Theresa Gallimore.

Known as "Ratt", Joe served in the US Army as a medic. He was an EMT in Gloucester City for 20 years. Joe's passion was to help others in need which he continued to do throughout his retirement.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass for Joe on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City.
