On February 10, 2018. Age 72. Of Deptford. Born, raised and lived many years in Pitman.  He was the son of the late Spencer and Angelina (Spirto) Mattson. Joseph is survived by his sister, Anna May Kelly, and was predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Joseph worked for 20 years as a janitor for the Pitman School District.

Honoring Joseph's wishes, there will be no visitation or services and his burial will be held privately.
