Surrounded by her loving family, on May 22, 2012. Age 94. (nee Brassill) Of Brooklawn. Loving and devoted wife of 60 years to the late Anthony M. Cerrone. Predeceased by her son, James A. Cerrone. Loving mother of Patrick Cerrone (Margaret), Michael Cerrone (late Gayle) and Maureen Collins (Bernie). Dear sister of Catherine Murray (late John), the late Joseph Brassill (late Jean) and the late Alfred Brodowitz. Cherished grandmother of Jerry (Renee) and Phil Collins, Patrick, Kelly, Joseph and Theresa Cerrone, Michael (Emily) and Jill Cerrone. Cherished great grandmother of Lexi, Charlotte and Julianna. Beloved aunt of Barbara Kingkiner and the late Patricia Brassill. Josephine graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School class of 1937. She proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII having been stationed in New York City and Washington, D.C. Josephine was a member of St. Maurice Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the PTA at Alice Costello School in Brooklawn. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM and again on Saturday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM in St. Marys R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Interment with U.S. Naval Honors will follow in New St. Marys Cemetery, Bellmawr.
