Josephine Semola of Haddon Heights, Loving Wife and Mother. Born December 16, 1923 to Alfred and Grace Giuffrida of Philadelphia. Passed away on March 3, 2016 at her daughter's home in Haddon Heights, surrounded by the people she loved most.
Beloved wife of 62 years of the late Louis Frank Semola. Josephine is survived by her twins, Valerie and Charles; her adored grandchildren Christine (fiancé John Branch), Ashley, Michael, Shanie and Chas (her forever boyfriend); her daughter-in-law Maureen and son-in-law Chalie; her sisters Sarah and Grace and her brother, Anthony. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Joseph.
She is fondly remembered as the type of person who always made you feel like she had been waiting all day to see you, and her enjoyment of your company was truly special to her. Her true genius and acclaim came from her talent in the kitchen.
Josephine loved nothing more than cooking for family and friends – sitting around her table drinking coffee or Carlo Rossi in good company. Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes was a highly anticipated event in her home.
At Josephine's request, cremation was private and there will be no services. In her memory, donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice: 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053. Please write in memo: Josephine G. Semola.
