Gloucester City – Surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the age of 84. Loving and devoted husband of 62 years to Andrea C. Ruiz. Loving father of Virginia Betteridge (Thomas), John P. Ruiz and Brian E. Ruiz (Annmarie). Cherished grandfather of Megan Purewal (Miteswar), Sean Betteridge, Taylor Ruiz, Brooke Ruiz, JohnCarlo Ruiz and Rian Ruiz and great-grandfather of Mateo Purewal. Beloved brother of Esperanza Ruiz (Alfredo).

Juan will be forever remembered for the love he had for his family, the joy and laughter they shared, his willingness to help those in need and his devotion to Saint Barbara and the Phillies.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday morning, Nov. 7, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St. Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM in the church. Interment private. All services are being held at the church.
