Obituary
On February 16, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. Hardy, Sr. and Maryann Walsh-Hardy. Loving mother of Mary Lou Wood (Stewart R. Wood, Sr.), loving grandmother of Stewart R. Wood, Jr. (Jade), Eric W. Wood, Sr. (Danielle Diamond-Wood and Jennifer Simpson), great grandmother of Eric W. Wood, Jr., Thomas J., Cali and Kaia Wood, sister of Rita Baldini and sister-in-law of Nick Salvatore, Sr. Libby was predeceased by her husband Frederick P. Grossmann on January 9, 2000 (this Valentine's day would have marked their 69th year of marriage). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Libby retired in 1988 after 15 years of service with 3M Company in West Deptford, NJ, where she worked as an electrical component assembler. She was a parishioner of St. Matthew's Church in National Park since 1950. She enjoyed working in the beer garden at the St. Matthew's School carnival for many years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21st at 10 am at Holy Angels Parish- St. Matthews Church, 307 Wesley Avenue, 4th & Monument Avenues, National Park, NJ where family and friends may visit from 9 to 10 am. Burial will follow in Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
