Kim was born on June 7th, 1968 to Sandra Pountney and the late Raymond Fletcher, Jr.

Kim was a member of the Brooklawn United Methodist Church, where she attended evening services with her mom. She enjoyed her time when working at Manor Care in West Deptford, where she developed meaningful relationships with some of the residents.

Kim found pleasure in feeding others. At Christmas time, Kim would bake large batches of various cookies with her mother and deliver these to residents of Manor Care and others in the community. She tried to make other holidays special as well by making and delivering cupcakes.

Kim loved her son Shawn and would sing “I knew I loved you before I met you” by the band Savage Garden to him as a child. When he was in school, Kim would bake for other children who weren’t as fortunate on their birthdays. Kim also had a love of animals which inspired her to become a vegetarian, and had a special bond with the family cat, Pixie.

Kim is survived by her son Shawn Johnston, mother Sandra Pountney, two sisters Cherie Lynch (Ed) and Shana Fletcher, three nieces and one great niece.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, June 27th from 10 to 11 AM at the Brooklawn United Methodist Church at 213 Maude Ave., Brooklawn. Services will begin at 11 AM at Brooklawn United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.
