Leona Ann Eksterowicz, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2021. She was 62 years old.

Leona was born in Oklahoma City on September 2, 1959, before spending most of her childhood in Willingboro, NJ. She resided in Maple Shade, NJ for many years before moving to Brooklawn, NJ in 2012. Leona enjoyed a career as a restaurant server for 45 years.

Leona is survived by her son, Brian Eksterowicz, her loving partner, Frank Canzanese, her siblings, Kathrin Capizola, Charles Vester, and Vivian Vester. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will remember her generosity, loyalty, kindness, honesty, and work ethic.

Leona was a devoted mother. In her spare time, she enjoyed homemaking, shopping, watching old movies, playing board games, listening to music, and entertaining at her home. She especially loved being outside during the summer and decorating for the holidays.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 12:30 PM until the beginning of a private service at 2 PM at the  McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth Street in Gloucester City. Interment will be private.
