On June 23, 2013. Age 98. Of Haddon Township. Beloved Son of the late Lewis Henry Wilkinson, Sr. and Nancy Wilkinson (nee Holman). Cherished Husband of the late Mary Louise (nee Harris). Survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. Lewis was born in Jetersville, VA and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Temple University and worked as a salesman for IBM. Lewis was known to all as Uncle Lew and would ride his favorite three wheel bike throughout Haddon Township and Collingswood. He was a past member of the First Baptist Church in Collingswood. Lewis was an avid golfer, horse racing fan and loved his dogs and cats. He was recognized in 2005 and 2008 for his continued support and generosity to the Haddon Township Police Department Local # 257. Lew was a strong supporter of the Westmont Fire Company No. 1 and enjoyed talking to the members. He and his wife were involved with a program for children in the City of Camden to attend classical music and operas which is operating this day along with his donation to A.A.U.W. and to Art Aware. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to his graveside urn burial, service and U.S. Army Military Honors on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11:30 AM in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
