February 24, 1931 – July 3, 2024
Margaret E., nee Hoffman, died on July 3rd, 2024 at the age of 93. Born in Camden, NJ, lived in Philadelphia, PA, until moving to Camden, NJ in 1943. Was a Pennsauken, NJ resident for over 43 years before moving to Gloucester City, NJ in 1999, then to Blue Bell, PA which was her final residence since July 2021.
Married to Edward B. Bignell (deceased) and Robert F. Keenan (deceased). Two brothers, Woodrow Hoffman and Joseph Hoffman (both deceased). Dear sisters-in-law Marion (Patrick) Rowan (deceased), Jane (Albert) Babcock (deceased), Claire (Henry) Murphy (deceased). Leaving behind loving memories of cousins, Theresa Toole and all her nieces and nephews.
Margaret worked at RCA/GE in Moorestown, NJ for over 35 years. She was a volunteer tutor for Focus on Literacy and the George B. Fine School in Pennsauken and St. Peter's School in Merchantville, NJ. She was an active participant with the Gloucester City Seniors Association and held a position as the Municipal Coordinator to Camden County for Gloucester City.
Margaret traveled extensively within the United States and many parts of the world including, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, South America, Ireland, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Bermuda and the Caribbean Islands.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday morning, July 12th from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in the church. Interment will follow in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
