"Peggy" Krusic
January 9, 1927 – May 8, 2022
On May 8, 2022. (nee Bernard) Age 95. Of Sewell. Formerly of Gloucester City and Salt Lake City, Utah. Loving wife of 11 years to the late Ernest A. Krusic. Devoted sister of Theresa McCarthy, Virginia M. King, Rev. Father Jack Bernard, Rose Havens, Patricia Ludwig and Joan Nishina. Predeceased by her siblings: Mary Gorman and William Bernard.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Peggy was born and raised in Gloucester City and attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Gloucester Catholic High School. She entered the Franciscan Sisters Order in Glen Riddle, PA for over 20 years. Peggy transitioned out of the Franciscan Sisters and became a laywoman. She met her husband, Ernie and were married 11 wonderful years before his sudden passing in 1986. Peggy was a registered nurse for the VA Hospital in Batavia, NY before relocating back to South Jersey. She was very artistic and enjoyed photography, painting, nature, camping, skiing and shopping. Peggy was a dedicated parishioner of Incarnation R.C. Church in Mantua where she was a faithful member of the Legion of Mary.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Peggy's viewing on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 9:45 am to 11:15 am at Incarnation R.C. Church: 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am in the church. Interment New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
