Surrounded by her loving family, on October 21, 2019. Age 74, of Gloucester City. (nee Costello). Daughter of the late Francis Costello and Margaret Lubin. Loving wife of 47 years to Joseph E. Tedesco. Predeceased by her first born, Ronald P. King. Beloved mother of Jennifer Smith, Alex Tedesco (Kristine) and Joseph Tedesco (Krissy). Loving sister of Michael Costello (Rosemary), Regina Barry (William) and Frank Costello (Arlene). Sister in law of Marie Cole and predeceased by Thomas Tedesco. She is survived by her grandchildren who gave her so much joy: Marissa, Frank, Jacob, Kimberly, Jaxon, Ella, Annaleigh and Colin. Also survived by her dearest friend, Denise Guldin (Jim), and her dearest cousin, Barbara Harris (Allan). Peggy is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, along with her Irish friends who also became family.
Peggy was loved for her many years in the Gloucester City Schools, working as both a Paraprofessional and an Aide in the Media Center. She loved her summers working at the Gloucester City Swim Club.
Peggy was very involved for many years with St. Mary's School/Parish and Gloucester Catholic, running many events and always offering her artistic assistance with many projects.
She has enjoyed many Irish events with her Irish Lassies, and was a huge fan of Celtic Thunder. She assisted in many events with them through PBS.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 from 9 AM to 12 Noon at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral Service 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment will be private in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
