Suddenly, On November 16, 2024, Age 81. (nee Vedder) Of Palm Harbor, Florida. Formerly of Westville and Fairmount section of Philadelphia, PA. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph Keenan and Anna Keenan (nee O'Malley). Loving and cherished wife of 59 years to Louis Anthony Burgo. Cherished mother of Andrea (Russell) Sigmund, Louis A. (Tina) Burgo, Jr. and Kathleen "Kate" (Donovan) Burgo. Beloved grandmother of Kasandra (Matthew) Bettin, Samantha Sigmund, Laina Burgo, Luke Burgo and Jackson Sharp. Dear Sister of Thomas (Lori) Vedder, Diane Downey, late Francis Vedder, Kathleen (Michael) Sanuck, JoAnn (Jimmy) Hart and Mary Ellen (Thomas 'Butch") Gilroy. Survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
MargaretAnn was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in the Fairmount section of the City. She attended and graduated from J.W. Hallahan Catholic High School. MargaretAnn was a longtime resident of Westville and was formerly very involved with her children in the Westville Soccer Association. She spent her summers with her family at Lake Wallenpaupack in the Poconos. MargaretAnn and Louis moved to Palm Harbor, Florida in 2001 and resided there currently. She was very involved in St. Vincent DePaul R.C. Church in Holiday, Florida especially volunteering with meals and activities for the parish community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend MargaretAnn's visitation on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 10 am to 11:45 am at Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Memorial Mass 12 Noon in the church. Cremation in Florida was private and Inurnment in New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr will be at a future date.
Family requests memorial donations in lieu of flowers in MargaretAnn's name to Arch Bishop Damiano School: 1143 Delsea Drive, Westville, NJ 08093. Please note in memo: For Children's Playground in memory of MargaretAnn Burgo.
