ROWAN, Marion B. On November 19, 2010. (nee Bignell) Age 83. Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 55 years to the late Patrick J. Rowan, Sr. Cherished mother of Patrick J. Rowan, Jr. of Oaklyn, Thomas E. Rowan of Pennsauken, Kathleen Rowan of Gloucester City and Maryann (William P.) Hook of Gilbertsville, PA. Devoted grandmother of Patricia Marie Hook. Dear Sister of Claire (Henry) Murphy and Beloved Sister-in-law Margaret Keenan of Gloucester City, the late Edward Bignell, the late Jane and Albert Babcock. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was a longtime and devoted friend to Sister Christine and Sister Nora. She was born, raised and lived her entire life in Gloucester City. Marion was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School Class of 1944. She was active with the High School Sorority and was Past President of Gloucester Catholic PTA. Marion was Recording Secretary/ Regent for Diocese of Camden PTA. She started in Saint Mary's School Library and then became Cafeteria Manager at the School and retired after 33 years of dedicated service. Marion was a devoted lifelong parishioner of Saint Mary's R.C. Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Monday morning from 10 am to 12 Noon at Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon in the church. Interment with her late husband in New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
