Obituary

On May 3, 2020. Age 56. Of Sicklerville. Husband of 27 ½ wonderful and incredible years, Sonja Maria Ellis (nee Davis), Eldest Brother, James D. Ellis, Jr. aka "RED", youngest brother, Dwaine Jeffrey Ellis (deceased) Mother, Yvonne Ellis (nee Benjamin) (Deceased) and Father, James Dotford Ellis, Sr. "JD"  (Deceased). Mark was a member of Equipping The Saints Training Center, a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the care of Apostle Keith D. and Prophetess Carnetta McDuffie of West Berlin NJ. Mark loved to minister to people and lead many people to the Lord because of his boldness to preach the Word of God. He spent most of his time reading the word and ready to tell anybody about Jesus. He was a man of few words but when he told a story you were sure to get a laugh. No matter what the subject was somehow Mark and his wife Sonja had a story to tell pertaining an experience they had in the church. Mark was faithful and totally committed to anything he put his hands too especially the things of God. You could always count of Him no matter what it was. He would be there, rain or shine. He was dedicated and so selfless. He had a giving heart and would put it to work everyday. Whether it was driving to and from any event or just to come to prayer service, Mark was there. He would even go out of his way to help you in anyway he could. His legacy was that of giving and will never be forgotten.

Mark was born in Trenton and graduated from Pemberton High School in 1981. He enlisted 4 years in the U.S. Army serving in Hawaii and Korea.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Mark's Service and U.S. Army Military Honors on Friday, August 14, 2020 promptly at 2:30 pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery: (SHELTER): 350 Provinceline Road, Arneytown, NJ 08562.
