On September 23, 2013. Age 93. Of Gloucester City. (nee Tesmar) Loving wife of the late Lewis Israel Atkinson. Loving mother of Dorothy M. (Edward) Hlopak, David J. (Marcia) Atkinson, Joanne (David) Howey, the late Lewis R. Atkinson and the late MaryBeth Merryfield. Cherished grandmother of George, Lewis, Dacia, Tanya, Michael, Christina, Rachael, Eddie and David and great grandmother of 18. Dear sister of Joan Jackson (William). Predeceased by her great grandchildren, Gabriel Vito, Jared Howey and Kyle Myers. Mary was a longtime, devoted parishioner of St. Marys R.C. Church in Gloucester City. She was the owner of Mary Lewis School of Dance in Pennsylvania and Gloucester City. Mary played and taught piano, accordion and the harmonica and taught crafts at the night school. She was an exceptional seamstress and dress designer. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Saturday morning, September 28, 2013 from 10 to 11 AM at St. Marys R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM in the church. Interment New St. Marys Cemetery, Bellmawr.
