Weber, Mary K., (nee Williams) of Alexandria, VA, age 87, died on February 14, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Weber. Loving mother of Walter (Angela) Weber of Alexandria, Virginia, Louise (Douglas) Kahl of Munroe Falls, Ohio, and Neil (Christina) Weber of Galena, Ohio, and devoted grandmother of nine grandchildren: Juliana, Constance, Peter, and Andrew Weber; Seth Kahl; and Sophia, Xavier, Elijah, and Luke Weber. Preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters, she is survived by her sister Patricia Mergenthal Lanzilotta and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Gloucester City, New Jersey on November 16, 1929. She was the ninth of twelve children born to Theresa Sagorc Williams and Henry J. Williams II. Mary attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Gloucester Catholic High School (then St. Mary's High School), both in Gloucester City, N.J. She graduated as valedictorian of the high school class of 1947. She went on to take classes at the Steelman Business School in Camden while caring for her then invalid mother.
Mary was employed for nine years from 1948 to 1957 in the quality control department at RCA Service Company, first in Gloucester City and later in Cherry Hill. She left work upon her marriage to Joseph G. Weber on October 5, 1957.
Mary dedicated herself to her family. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Throughout fifty-two years of marriage, she was a loving wife, and she provided constant care to her husband at home during his fatal battle with cancer. After his death in 2010, she became an active member of the organizations To Live Again and the Leisure Club at Christ Our Light Church in Cherry Hill, NJ.
In 2016, Mary moved to Alexandria, VA to live with her eldest son and his family. As her health declined, she moved to the Paul Spring Retirement Community and then to Spring Hills Mt. Vernon Assisted Living facility.
Mary will be remembered as a good and loving woman by all who knew her.
Viewing on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, 6-8pm and Saturday, Feb. 25, 9:15 to 10:15 am, at McCann-Healey Funeral Home: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 25, 11am at Saint Mary's Catholic Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Interment at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, N.J.
