On April 6, 2025, Butch passed peacefully at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, at the age of 87. Of Haddon Heights, formerly a longtime resident of Riverside. Loving and devoted husband of 56 years to the late Mary Louise Solly. Loving father of Gregory C. Solly (Joann) and Maria R. Engler (Michael). Cherished grandfather of Charles Solly, Benjamin Solly, Daniel Solly, Rhys Engler and the late Bran Engler.

Butch proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired chemist and worked many years at Knox Gelatine Company in Camden. Butch was a longtime member of Knights of Columbus, Council #1436 St. John Neumann in Delran, where he served as Past Grand Knight in 1974-1975.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in the church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Bridgeboro Road, Riverside.
