On January 30, 2024. Age 65. Of Gloucester City. Loving and devoted husband of 12 years to Jo-Ann M. James. (nee Neilio). Loving father of Michael J. James, Jr. Beloved brother of Therese (Mike) Smollock, late William James (surviving Virginia), Kathy James, Patrick James, late Steven James, Maria (Tom) Kerchersky, David James, Christopher James and Marybeth (Scott) Jeffries. Loving brother-in-law of Linda (Tom) Newlin, Herbert (Colleen) Neilio, Jr., Michael (Maria) Neilio, Toni (Joe) Bobiak. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his dogs, Larry, Pumkin and Jessie James.

Michael was born in Camden, NJ on February 14, 1958 to the late William and Rosemary James (nee Keoghan). He was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1976. Michael went on to proudly serve our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City.  Michael was a dedicated building inspector in housing and development for the State of NJ.

At Michael's request, funeral services and military honors will be held privately.
