Michael William Sendler, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 3rd 2026 at the age of 58.
Mike was a beloved husband of Lisa Sendler, devoted father of Michael, Brandon, and Danielle. Beloved son-in-law of Nick Porro and loving grandfather of Blake and Brody.
Mike was the son of late Anne Sharer (Weidennayar), Robert Sendler and raised by Bud Sharer. Brother of Robert Sendler, Cathy Sendler, and Linda McCleaf.
Mike was born in Atlantic City later relocated to Gloucester City where he graduated from Gloucester High. He met his wife at Dominic’s tavern in Bellmawr, got married, and started a family.
Mike was a dedicated mechanic at U.S logistics for 10+ years and furthered his career at NJ Transit. He was always willing to lend a hand, teach others, and share what he knew with patience and pride. At work and in life. Mike was someone people could always count on. He had a kind heart, a strong work ethic and was always there when someone needed help. He will be remembered not only for the work he did but for the countless people he helped along the way.
Mike loved riding motorcycles with his best friend Marc and his sons, Michael and Brandon. Those rides were filled with adventure, laughter, and time spent together doing what he loved most. He also enjoyed the excitement of the holidays visiting haunted houses, Christmas light displays, and discovering new places and hobbies. He was happiest when he was making memories with the people he loved.
Mike was a devoted family man who deeply loved his wife, his children, his mother, and his siblings. Family was at the center of everything he did, and he took great joy in spending time with them. Over the years, he created countless memories through many vacations and loved sharing new experiences with his kids.
Mike will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and the love he gave so freely to everyone around him. He had a special gift for teaching others and sharing his knowledge, always patient and willing to help. He will be remembered for his love, loyalty, and the strong bond he kept with his family throughout his life. His absence leaves a deep void, and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral service 12 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
