On November 1, 2017, Miriam E. Maurer, age 95, loving mother of Marilyn E. Palumbo, (Pastor Bob Palumbo) and Glenda J Roberts, deceased son, Warren W., went to be with her Lord and Savior. Miriam is survived by five grand-children and eight great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Ellen Johnson.
Born in 1922, Miriam lived in Gloucester City her entire life. Married to Herbert F. Maurer in 1943, she was a homemaker. Together they built their home and raised their family in the same home until her passing.
Miriam was a committed follower of our Lord Jesus, serving in the Highland Park Church of God her entire life. Miriam made herself available as a friend and servant to all who knew her. She loved music, and served as the church organist until age 90. Miriam was a quiet leader who held offices in the "Women's Missionary Society", the "Highlanders" adult social club. She served many with her acts of benevolence, driving people to the doctor, grocery store, preparing food and giving clothing, visiting the sick at home and in the hospital, to name just a few.
The memorial service will be on

at the Highland Park Church of God, Market Street and Baynes Avenue, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to the Highland Park Church of God.
