Of Gloucester City, NJ, Age 64, passed away on May 28, 2022. Paul is survived by his beloved mother, Florence R. (Rodgers) Underwood, loving sisters, Rose Underwood, Frances Underwood, Catherine Underwood, Claire Corliss; brothers, Joseph Underwood, William and his wife, Ella Underwood; nieces, Laura John ("J"), Chelsea Ami and great nephews, Ian and Colin. Paul was predeceased by his father, Francis J. Underwood.
Paul was born, raised and lifelong resident of Gloucester City. He was a graduate of Camden County Vocational Technical School in Pennsauken. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed model trains and was a WWII history enthusiast. Paul was a lifelong devoted parishioner of Saint Mary's R.C. Church in Gloucester City.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, June 9 th from 9:30 to 10:45 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Viewing will be followed with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the church. Interment will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 420 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Please write in memo: Paul M. Underwood.
